Upgrade your license

Subscription: 2.0 is included. Install it and enter your license (Settings > License > Enter license, then Validate). Nothing to buy.

One-time (perpetual) license from version 1: your license keeps working in version 1. Version 2.0 is a paid upgrade, and your serial and settings stay as they are: there is no new serial to enter.

1. Install Gear Doc Converter 2.0 from the download page.
2. Start it. It finds the license you already have on this computer and checks it with gearmage.com. If the license doesn't cover 2.0 yet, the License screen says so and offers Upgrade.
3. Click Upgrade. The checkout page opens with your license already attached to the order. Pay there.
4. Back in the program, it finishes the activation. If it doesn't continue by itself, choose Check again, or Validate on the License screen.

No license on this computer yet, or you'd rather upgrade first? Use the form above: enter the email, company and serial from your license email and it takes you to the same checkout.

On the License screen choose Activate offline. It shows a request code to paste on gearmage.com from any computer with internet, which gives you a license file to import. Do the upgrade payment first, on any computer.

No. A perpetual Gear Doc Converter license never expires and has no support subscription to renew. 2.0 is an upgrade of the program, and it is the only thing you pay for.

One-time (perpetual) license from version 3: if your support is current (the first year after you bought, or a support extension), the upgrade is free: contact support with the email on your license and we send you a coupon code for the checkout. Otherwise it is a paid upgrade, or you can renew your support to get it free.

1. Install 4.0. It installs next to version 3 (its own folder and shortcuts, "Mail Attachment Downloader Pro 4"). Version 3 keeps working and is not removed. Only one copy of the program can run at a time: close version 3 before starting 4.0, and the message that appears tells you which copy is running.
2. Start 4.0. The first time it copies your version 3 accounts, settings, download history and license, so version 3 is left as it was. Changes you make in one version afterwards don't reach the other.
3. Upgrade. If the license is a version 3 license, a banner says Upgrade needed. Click Upgrade (the checkout opens with your license attached; enter your coupon code there if you have one). On a computer without version 3, enter your license details on the License tab first, or use the form above.
4. Back in the program, click Validate or Try again. There is no new serial to enter.

The service has one name in every version, so only one can be installed. Uninstall version 3's service first, from the Service tab of version 3, then install version 4's from the Service tab of version 4. 4.0 tells you at start if the service on the computer is from another version, and leaves it alone.

The upgrade is bought in the same quantity as the licenses you have: the link takes you to the checkout with that number filled in. Your serial stays one serial for all of them.

Codes you have already entered are copied with your license and keep counting. New ones are entered on the Licensed tab of 4.0, as before.
