Save emails as PDF or TIFF<\/h2>\n

It is really easy to\u00a0save\u00a0emails to PDF or convert email attachments to PDF with the Mail Attachment Downloader PRO<\/a><\/strong> and Mail Attachment Downloader PRO Server<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Converting document attachments to PDF or TIFF<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Create a new filter<\/strong> or edit an existing one<\/strong> in the\u00a0Global Rule<\/strong> tab<\/li>\n
  2. Under\u00a0Actions, click Add action<\/strong>\u00a0and choose\u00a0\u00a0Document conversion. <\/strong>This will add a new action in the list to the left. Click on the Document conversion<\/strong> list item under After saving file<\/strong>. You will see the conversions that are configured on the right side.\u00a0\"convert<\/li>\n
  3. Add a new document conversion by clicking the\u00a0‘Add conversion<\/strong>‘ button.<\/li>\n
  4. Pick the source format (From Type<\/strong>) and the destination format (To Type<\/strong>). \u00a0If you are using the PRO Server, then you can pick any format in the To. Otherwise, you will be limited to just\u00a0PDF.

  5. Click OK<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    That’s it!<\/h3>\n

    Now each\u00a0document attachment<\/strong> (doc, docx, txt, html, rtf, eml etc.) \u00a0will be converted to PDF or TIFF <\/strong>or any To Type you selected\u00a0above<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    If you want to also\u00a0save the email body <\/strong>in addition to the attachments as PDF or TIFF, check the Save as .eml<\/strong> checkbox in the rule and the document conversion action (from Doc -> PDF or TIFF) will also convert the .eml<\/strong>\u00a0file to PDF or TIFF. The .eml extension is considered a document for conversion purposes.<\/p>\n

    If you want to convert other types such as cells (xlsx etc.), slides (ppt etc.) or images (jpgs etc), you can repeat Step-3 to add the different From’s if you would like.<\/p>\n

    This will save each attachment as a separate PDF or TIFF files.\u00a0Further below we\u00a0show\u00a0how you can\u00a0save<\/strong> emails and attachments<\/strong> as a single PDF<\/strong>. You can also save emails and attachments to a multi-page TIFF if required by following the same instructions except select tiff as the To type.<\/p>\n

    You may also choose to encrypt the PDF file by checking the ‘Encrypt PDF<\/strong>‘ checkbox if needed.<\/p>\n
